I have been chosen to represent my school on a trip to Orlando in February. In order to go I need to raise $1500 by December 3rd. Please consider making a secure paypal donation through the link on the right side of my page. Every donation helps! Thank you!

This trip means so much more to me than just going to represent my school. My Grandma Nancy always told me and my brothers how very important education was. She would sit and tell us stories of all the great places she got to go to with her education. She always told me that education would take me anywhere I could imagine. Not only do I get the experience of a lifetime, I can also earn a High School credit for taking this trip.

My Grandma passed away last year from Cancer. I would like to go on this trip in Honor of her.

About Me

A little bit about me....
My name is Tyler John Hern, I am 13 years old. I am in the 7th grade and attend Kearney Middle School.
Making good grades is very important to me. I plan to attend College, and to be an architect.

I have lots of hobbies / interests that keep me very busy as well.
I volunteer at the YMCA for the Challenges program, assisting special needs children with various sports, arts and crafts. This means a lot to me. One of the most special people in the world to me who has taught me so much about genuine happiness, and the kind of person I want to be is Katie. I met Katie in pre-school. Katie has Downs Syndrome and since I met her when I was only 4 yrs old,  I have never thought of her as different as some people do, to me she is just me very caring friend Katie! Katie and I are still friends today.
My Grandma Nancy, before passing away had me go with her for a couple of years to the "Jelly Beans" event held out in Kansas City for children with Downs Syndrome. It has and will always be a very special memory for me.

The other things I like or should say love to do is sports. I play football, baseball and I'm still working on my golf game! I have played football for the Missouri Wolverines from 1st grade to 6th grade. I now play for the Necco Raiders. I can't wait until I play High School football for the Kearney Bulldogs. Over the summer I was selected to play on a traveling summer league. They have an adult Semi-pro team and wanted to give kids in the mid west an opportunity to play year around like the kids in the southern states. The name of this team is the Kansas KAOS. I played on two levels, I played for the 11-12 yr old team and the 13-14 yr old team with my older brother. Both teams went undefeated and won the World Bowl in July in Oklahoma City.
I have also been to the Youth World Series twice. The first time was when I played with the Nationals when I was 8yrs. old, we took second. The second time is when I played for Millhouse when I was 11 yrs. old. and we made it to the consolation game but lost.
I ride 4 wheelers and dirt bikes, skateboard, paintball, play video games & occasionally go fishing.

I love hanging out with my friends and all of my family.

Well that's about all there is ...... thank you for reading about me and please donate so I can experience this trip of a lifetime!
